Bottega Admissions Process

For all Bottega coding bootcamps, applicants must fill out a brief online application. After their application materials are approved, prospective students must complete an interview to discuss their ideal scheduling options and learning objectives.

Prospective students will also undergo a tech screening assessment where they are evaluated on technical learning and problem-solving abilities. Finally, applicants complete a four-week prep course alongside a mentor, which requires a $250 deposit. Students do not need any formal experience in tech, but the prep course equips learners with a necessary background in basic JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Bottega Payment Options

Upfront: Students can pay for their bootcamp programs with a traditional upfront payment. Costs vary by program, format, and learner experience level. For example, the full price of the beginner-level mobile app development course is $3,500 for part-time students and $4,500 for full-time students; the same course designed for experienced JS developers costs $2,500, while the course designed for experienced React developers costs $1,500.

Loans: Bottega students are permitted to pay their tuition costs entirely through loans, with a $12,000 cap for full-time learners and a $7,500 cap for part-time learners. Borrowers can choose to finance these loans for either 36 or 60-month terms.

Frequently Asked Questions About Bottega Coding Bootcamp

What is Bottega?

Chevron Down

Bottega is a tech training provider that offers remote, immersive courses in areas like front-end development, mobile development, and software development. Bootcamp students gain familiarity with widely used coding languages like HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Python. Graduates can pursue positions like software engineer, project manager, and full-stack engineer.

Although exact course offerings depend on individual bootcamp programs, learners can choose from part-time and full-time schedules, as well as live group courses and more individualized study.

Is Bottega worth it?

Chevron Down

For many students, these condensed, fast-paced programs are an accessible way to launch a tech career. According to their outcomes data, which was independently audited and reported to the CIRR, about 70.5% of graduates from the first half of 2018 found relevant employment within 180 days of program completion, and these individuals earned a median of $46,380.

About 21% of grads found roles in software engineering, while about 15% found roles in project management.

Is Bottega hard to get into?

Chevron Down

While some tech bootcamps offer more open approaches to student enrollment, Bottega coding bootcamps require that all applicants complete a holistic, multi-step application process, including interviews with instructors.

Although applicants do not need a tech background, prospective students must complete a screening assessment to test their aptitude for solving technical problems. Before the program begins, students must also take a four-week prep course to gain preliminary skills in coding languages such as HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

Is Bottega free?

Chevron Down

Bottega is not free. Beginner training courses can cost between $3,500 and $12,000, with the exact price depending on the course and learning format. As of the 2019-2020 academic year, the average cost of tuition for an in-state student at a two-year public college was $3,377. For out-of-state students, a year's tuition at a public two-year school cost $8,126.

Since associate degrees typically take two years to complete, Bottega coding bootcamps could be a more affordable alternative depending on the bootcamp you choose.
