Code Platoon Courses

Code Platoon teaches in-demand career skills in both front-end and back-end development through its immersive full-stack software engineering program. Coursework explores languages like HTML, CSS, Javascript, Python, and SQL. Students also master the React framework and strengthen their skills in teamwork and negotiation. Code Platoon also offers self-paced and evening and weekend options.

Code Platoon Admissions Process

Code Platoon requires prospective students to complete a two-part application, which takes roughly 30 minutes. Applicants must submit background information, including their highest level of education, military service experience, and plans for financial aid. Code Platoon offers June, October, and February start dates for the immersive program.

Applicants must have some coding experience for the full-stack software engineering program. Code Platoon offers a free self-paced class and a live online class to help prospective students prepare. The bootcamp prep program emphasizes problem-solving and JavaScript fundamentals.

Code Platoon Payment Options

Code Platoon enables students from all backgrounds to pursue software engineering. Military service members, veterans, and their families may qualify for a variety of financial aid options, including support through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and institutional and external scholarships.

Students can pay for their bootcamp using the GI Bill. Students who meet requirements automatically qualify for GI Bill funding through the VA. In addition to full or partial tuition, recipients may qualify for a monthly stipend of up to $1,000 toward books and supplies.

VET TEC

Like the GI Bill, the Veteran Employment Through Technology Education Courses (VET TEC) program offers financial aid through the VA; however, VET TEC benefits must be applied for and are not subtracted from a student's remaining GI Bill funds.

Voc Rehab

Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (Voc Rehab) provides case-by-case career training and placement for qualifying veterans. Like VET TEC, students must apply for Voc Rehab benefits by meeting with a counselor to determine if Code Platoon's program is the best course of action.

Scholarships

Code Platoon offers multiple scholarships for veterans, veteran spouses, active duty military spouses, job-transitioning military service members, and members of the National Military Family Association. Code Platoon scholarships also serve Black, Latino/a, female, and transgender military service members and veterans.
