Codesmith is a coding bootcamp that specializes in software engineering, with both remote and in-person software engineering immersive programs available. Codesmith Bootcamp Courses

Codesmith offers full time and part time remote software engineering immersive programs, and a full time NYC onsite program. Codesmith also offers two prep courses. The immersive programs take 13 weeks full time or 38 weeks part time. The prep courses, JavaScript for Beginners and CS Prep, are part-time, remote, two-week courses that focus on JavaScript fundamentals and preparing learners for software engineering bootcamps.

This Codesmith bootcamp is an advanced residency designed to help individuals launch meaningful, high-level careers in software engineering. The curriculum includes the key elements of a computer science degree, including data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and programming paradigms. Students learn both front-end and back-end development. Technologies taught include HTML/CSS, React/Redux, JavaScript, and relational and non-relational databases.

Codesmith Bootcamp Admissions Process

The Codesmith admissions process begins with filling out an online form. After that, there are two interviews. The first is with the admissions team, and the second is a technical interview. During the technical interview, you'll be expected to solve coding challenges in JavaScript.

Codesmith Payment Options

Codesmith's bootcamp costs $20,925 in 2023. The bootcamp provider accepts upfront payments, installments, loans, and scholarships.

Upfront: Students paying upfront must make a $3,000 deposit to hold their place in the immersive. The balance is due on the first day of the bootcamp.

Installments: For full-time immersives, the installment plan requires a $3,000 deposit and a down payment of $3,000 that is due before the first day of class. The remaining amount is split into three monthly payments. For the part time immersive, the installment plan requires a $3,000 deposit and a down payment of $2,725 that is due before the first day of class. The remaining amount is split into eight monthly payments.

Loans: Codesmith partners with Ascent Funding for student financing. Ascent offers both short-term and multi-year loans. Students may also be able to borrow money for living expenses.

Deferred Payment Plan: Through Ascent, students can opt for a deferred payment plan. On this plan, payments start three months after graduation.

Scholarships: Codesmith offers a variety of bootcamp scholarships to provide financial support to outstanding community members who exemplify Codesmith’s values, especially those from backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in the tech industry. This includes a Black Engineers Scholarship and a Latine Engineers Scholarship that cover 100% of the bootcamp tuition.

Codesmith Student Outcomes

Codesmith is a member of the Council on Integrity in Results Reporting (CIRR), which sets standards for reporting student outcomes. CIRR's standards discourage deceptive reporting practices and help students find student outcomes that have been audited by a third party.
