Designlab Admissions Process

Designlab accepts a limited number of applicants to each cohort of UX Academy. Aspiring participants can book an admissions call for application assistance.

Learners must provide work samples that demonstrate foundational knowledge of visual design. The program also requires strong English language skills.

Before gaining acceptance, learners must complete a prerequisite course. Applicants receive eight weeks to finish it. The class includes five mentorship sessions. Learners must apply the mentorship feedback.

Through this course, the Designlab admissions team evaluates applicants and notes their communication skills, motivation, and professionalism.

Designlab Payment Options

  • Upfront: Students can save money by paying upfront. This payment option doesn't require interest or servicing fees. Learners can pay through Paypal, credit card, or debit card.
  • Installments: Designlab allows students to make monthly payments interest-fee. However, this option requires a $400 convenience fee. Students can opt for a six-month or 10-month repayment plan.
  • Loans: Designlab partners with Climb Credit to offer a low monthly cost option. The financing options range from 6-36 month plans. Climb Credit allows students to make interest-only payments for the first six months. However, students can also defer their payments entirely for six months.
  • Scholarships: Students can apply for scholarships through Designlab. To qualify, applicants must come from an underrepresented background in the design industry. Every month, the bootcamp offers one scholarship for 50% off tuition and three scholarships worth $1,000. Some learners may qualify for a need-based scholarship.
