Ironhack offers four technical bootcamps online and in person at Ironhack Miami and eight other global cities. The bootcamps are available in both part-time and full-time formats and take nine weeks to six months to complete. Ironhack has had over 10,000 graduates since 2013.

Ironhack students gain access to a dedicated, specialized team of career coaches and job support services and over 600 global hiring partners. Major hiring partners including Magic Leap, Google, Twitter, and Visa. Graduates have also found jobs at Accenture, BBC, Mastercard, Facebook, and Uber.

Ironhack bootcamps are taught in a cohort format. Part-time programs begin every six months. Full-time programs begin every three months.

Ironhack Courses

Ironhack offers a free JavaScript coding course and four bootcamps in either an intensive full-time or part-time format designed to prepare students for a new career. Students can choose to access bootcamps online or attend classes in person.

Remote bootcamps are taught through live, synchronous instruction. Full-time students connect Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Part-time students meet twice a week in the evenings and on Saturdays. Students need an additional 15 hours a week for homework.

Ironhack teachers are experts in their field and known for their teaching skills. Ironhack doesn't require previous coding experience, but English, math, and logic proficiency are helpful.

Ironhack's cybersecurity course includes 20 hours of online prework and three coursework modules, including compliance, prevention systems, and network traffic. Topics covered include operation of a computer network, threats, tactics, and security principles. The curriculum also teaches cyber-forensic investigation, analysis of cyber defense, and system security trends.

Students develop their own detection and prevention systems and learn to use and configure event management systems.

Ironhack's data analytics bootcamp teaches essential analytics skills, including Python, SQL, Tableau, and statistics. The bootcamp is divided into three modules and includes 60 hours of online pre-work.

Topics covered include data wrangling and cleaning, Git, APIs, and using Python for statistics and probability. Students also learn about machine learning algorithms. For the final project, students build an end-to-end machine learning project and use the model to make predictions on new data.

Ironhack's UX/UI design course includes 40 hours of online prework and three modules of coursework. Topics covered include UX processes, Agile, and information architecture. Learners also study visual design, HTML, CSS, and front-end design. For the final project, students build an app or website that solves a problem or disrupts an industry.

Ironhack's web development bootcamp has 50 hours of prework and three main modules. Students learn HTML, CSS, Javascript, and React. Additional topics include responsive design, object-oriented programing, data modeling, and component-based frameworks.

For the final project, students create a full-stack application with back-end knowledge and a SPA with ReactJS.

Ironhack Admissions Process

Ironhack students don't need any previous knowledge or experience in the tech sector. The prework for bootcamps takes 20-60 hours and prepares students for the relevant bootcamp.

Ironhack has a four-step admissions process:

  1. Apply online
  2. Personal interview to ensure that the selected bootcamp meets career goals
  3. Technical assessment to demonstrate bootcamp readiness
  4. Submit a deposit to secure a spot, and start the prework

Ironhack Payment Options

With both remote and global locations, Ironhack's payment options vary by location and bootcamp. Financing options include several types of loans, deferred payments, installments, or income share agreements. At the Ironhack Miami campus, students can pay upfront or with loans.

Upfront: Ironhack accepts upfront payments for all bootcamps.

Loans: Ironhack offers three types of loans for U.S. coding students, which do not include the $500 deposit.

  • Climb Credit is a low-interest loan that covers both tuition and living expenses. There are no prepayment penalties.
  • Climb Loan offers reduced payments for the first three months and a 36-month repayment period.
  • Deferred Climb Loan is Ironhack's version of a deferred tuition payment. Interest accrues over the first six months of deferred payment. The repayment period is 36 months.

Scholarships: Ironhack offers a number of discounts and scholarships. Offers vary by location and are updated on their website.

Ironhack Student Outcomes

The Council for Integrity in Results Reporting (CIRR) is a nonprofit organization that provides third-party verification of bootcamp outcomes to help prospective students decide on a bootcamp.

According to CIRR data, in 2019, 79% of Ironhack graduates were employed within the field within 180 days. Other Ironhack data, audited by PwC, showed 76% of graduates employed within the field within 90 days and 89% employed within 180 days in 2019. There is no updated student outcomes data from 2020 onward.
