Nucamp offers coding bootcamps in front-end and full-stack web development and mobile app development online and through a hybrid format in over 170 cities across the country.

The founder of Nucamp, Ludovic Fourrage, led digital learning development at Microsoft for 18 years. After leaving Microsoft, he set out to provide an affordable way for students to learn the skills necessary to enter the software development field.

All Nucamp coding bootcamps are offered on a part-time basis. Additionally, the bootcamp provider currently offers its hybrid bootcamps entirely online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Students study on their own for 2-3 hours per day during the week and have exercises that must be turned in by Friday for grading. The instructor holds a live video conference call from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday.

Graduates receive one-on-one career coaching and access to an exclusive job board. Employers can submit job opportunities to Nucamp's website, and Nucamp stays in contact with more than 1,000 companies. Career coaches help students prepare for interviews and provide tips to improve students' resumes and GitHub profiles.

Bootcamp graduates can complete a career development course that readies them to find a new career in tech. Graduates also get a free month of LinkedIn Premium and receive an invitation to a LinkedIn alumni group.

Nucamp Courses

Nucamp offers hybrid bootcamps in more than 170 locations around the country during normal operations; however, hybrid bootcamps have now moved online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Nucamp also offers online-only bootcamps. Students receive lifetime access to the course content.

Nucamp Admissions Process

Nucamp does not use an application process. The bootcamp provider believes everyone should have a chance to learn to code. If you want to take a bootcamp, you only need to pay the first monthly fee to secure your spot. Students do not need to have any previous experience or education to enroll in Nucamp bootcamps.

Nucamp Payment Options

For the web development fundamentals bootcamp, there is only one payment option: a one-time payment of $349. This must be paid in advance of taking the course.

For the other two programs, students can select one of three payment options. The first option is to pay in interest-free installments. This option allows students of the Front-End Web + Mobile Development bootcamp to make four payments of $370 and students of the Full-Stack Web + Mobile Development bootcamp to make five payments of $376.

Nucamp also offers two loan options through Climb Credit. The first plan has monthly payments as low as $79 for 12-18 months. The second plan allows students to pay $8-$20 per month during the course, and then switch to larger monthly payments of $79-$167 for the next 12-18 months following course completion.

Nucamp also runs four scholarship programs: Warrior Rising, ReSkill America, Best Buy Bounce Back, and Nu You. The Warrior Rising scholarship helps veterans and active-duty service members, while Nu You provides scholarships to students who do not qualify for a loan due to bad credit. ReSkill America Scholarship recipients receive a laptop as well as a scholarship.

Nucamp Student Outcomes

Nucamp states that the average employment rate of its graduates three months after bootcamp completion is 78%. However, since these programs follow a part-time schedule, many students choose to remain in their current jobs while completing the program.

The Web Development Fundamentals bootcamp does not teach all of the skills necessary to pursue a career in web development, but the other two bootcamps do. Graduates usually start out in junior web developer positions at large companies or startups, or they may work on their own terms as freelancers.
