The Tech Academy Admissions Process

Learners interested in enrolling in The Tech Academy must first create a free login on The Tech Academy's website. Prospective students may then receive help enrolling in the bootcamp of their choice.

The Tech Academy does not require any previous experience in tech to enroll. However, students may need to complete a basic questionnaire and interview process for admission. Prospective students can learn more by reaching out to The Tech Academy's admissions team.

The Tech Academy Payment Options

The Tech Academy offers its students a variety of payment options.

  • Upfront: Students may pay their tuition upfront and all at once at the beginning of the bootcamp. Students do not receive a discount for doing so.
  • Income Share Agreement: An income share agreement (ISA) allows students to attend a bootcamp without paying anything upfront. After graduating from The Tech Academy and taking a job that pays at least $30,000 a year, graduates start to pay a fixed percentage of their income until the bootcamp tuition is paid off. ISAs are only available for the following full-time bootcamps: software development, C# and .NET framework, and python development.
  • Loans: The Tech Academy partners with several loan companies that allow students to borrow money upfront for tuition and pay it back in installments. Note that these loans come with an interest rate, meaning students may pay back more money than they initially borrowed.

The Tech Academy Student Outcomes

The Council on Integrity in Results Reporting (CIRR) is an independent organization that verifies reported outcomes from bootcamps. While most bootcamps are not accredited, CIRR-verified results — including graduation rates and job placement in the field — can help prospective students understand the effectiveness of a bootcamp.

Potential bootcamp students should be wary of self-reported student outcome data provided by bootcamps, as this data has not been verified by any independent source.

Fortunately, CIRR reports verified results for The Tech Academy's bootcamps. The table below shows results for The Tech Academy's popular online software development bootcamp from the second half of 2020.
