Melissa A. Venable, Ph.D., has 15 years of experience in online education as an instructional designer, curriculum manager, and adjunct professor. She is also a certified career coach. Her work in higher education began in career services working with undergraduate and graduate students as a career development specialist and academic advisor.
She currently teaches online courses at Saint Leo University and provides continuing education support for the National Career Development Association, where she also serves as the editor of Career Developments magazine. As a principal writer at BestColleges, Melissa leads an annual research initiative reporting trends in online education, student demographics, and career planning.
